Rethinking “Effectiveness”

Teams are formed to complete interdependent tasks that would be impossible for an individual or a disaggregated group.

Completing the #task is critical. And yet, teams that do not invest in the #wellbeing of their members cannot reliably sustain their performance over time. Teams that do not invest in their #development cannot reliably adapt to unexpected complexity.

Reducing #teameffectiveness to any one of these dimensions has a greater cost than most organizations realize. And so, we say, now more than ever:

Do the work. Care for each other. Make sure you learn as you go.
